We had a great time at this place and would highly recommend it to our family and friends. We appreciated the free upgrade and the convenient location near the airport.

The view.
The place is a big old house which requires a lot of maintence that is not done. But the main problem is that the owner has no idea how to deal with the problems that occurs because of the lack of maintence. The shower was falling from its support, the glass door was getting out of the rail once you try to open, the sewer was running out of the floor, etc... And if you planing to stay during a public holiday do not expect to have your room cleaned once the maid will not work in such days.

I liked that it is a quiet place and would do very well for someone running away from the hustles of city life.
I did not like the fact that there is no cleaning service on Sunday and the fact that the second bedroom was indeed part of the kitchen, although the apartment was being referred to as a 2 bedroomed apartment.

The location, nestled high on a hill in a residential area, provides breathtaking views of the picturesque surroundings. It offers a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, perfect for those wanting to be close to nature. The hotel is centrally located and conveniently close to everything, including the waterfront, allowing guests to experience the best of both worlds. The pool area and common spaces are clean and well-maintained, offering stunning views of the surrounding area.
The hotel may lack some of the luxury amenities expected for its price range.

Simona is a pleasant!
Hotel is not in Campbs Bay as it stated on their website. Very inconveniencing location. Breakfast was revolting. Ostrich room has no tv, small outdated room on the top floor. Very exhausting walking up the stairs. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone who visits cape town. The standard is far too low comparing to other hotels in the a

The ocean view from our room was breathtaking! We also appreciated the complimentary breakfast and the knowledgeable staff who gave us great tips for exploring the surrounding area. The location was great, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants.
The room was a bit cramped and had some maintenance issues. The bathroom could have been cleaner and the bed was not very comfortable.

The best thing about Vila Simona (which trumps all else) is its panoramic ocean views offered at very reasonable room rates. It is as high up the Table Mountain in Camps Bay as one can get. Simona, the proprietor, is a very interesting person and an attentive and responsible host, doing her best to single-handedly manage the property and attend to the needs of the guests. Despite some issues, Vila Simona is a very unique place to take in the beauty of Camps Bay and worth the price. Personally, I would stay there again and would recommend it to independent minded travelers.
The few rental rooms are clean and very safe, but not luxurious. Breakfast is not included and may be ordered separately. In practice it is more enticing to descend the mountain and start the day at one of the many very good restaurants on the beach which serve breakfast until early afternoon. The housekeeping service is minimal and suspended on Sundays. The property itself needs a good deal of upkeep and investment to live up to its potential. For instance the pool could be kept cleaner and the poolside area readied and welcoming for use. In practice the steep 40+ minute walking distance to the beach and the shops & restaurants on Victoria Drive (the only ones in all of Camps Bay!) makes it impractical to be without a car. The alternative is a $4-$6 cab ride each way up/down the mountain.

The attention to detail is evident throughout the property, from the well-maintained gardens to the beautifully decorated rooms with a view. The location is perfect, close to everything with stunning views of both the mountains and the ocean. The staff provide excellent service and the basic amenities are all in place. The breakfast is delicious and satisfying.

Beautiful surrounds and very neat. Love the soft music played in the dining room. Simone and the staff were very friendly and the room was cosy and clean.
Breakfast was a bit expensive comparing to other guest houses we have stayed. Was served in style.
